Board and Staff

The volunteer board of directors of Curaçao Athletic School Foundation sets organizational policy and priorities, secures adequate resources to support the Foundation’s programs, and provides fiduciary oversight for the nonprofit organization.
The Board includes men and women from education, finance, business, public service, communications, and many other facets of athletics and education.
The staff of the Foundation, led by the executive director (Founder), are professionals with a wealth of education, training, and experience in nonprofit management.

Danique Zimmerman

Member

Danique Zimmerman is the secretary of Curaçao Athletic Scholarship Foundation. Besides assisting with the administrative duties, Danique also advices on the branding and communication for the organization. Her reason for joining this dynamic team is to support a foundation that is committed to invest in future champions. Danique strongly believes that one of the most important contribution one can be to the life of others is to encourage them to follow their dreams…the bigger the better.

Lucas Beaujon

President & Founder

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute obtained in 1989 and Master degree in Business Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – Kenan-Flagler Business School obtained in 1993. Mr. Beaujon at his return to Curaçao has been employed at Refineria Isla Curaçao B.V. for 26 years and currently holds the position of Human Resources Manager at Refineria Isla Curaçao B.V, since January 2014.

Luis Santine

Member

Luis is the founder and managing director of InfoCapital and CX Pay. On an executive level, Luis is the chairman of the board of Curaçao Investment & Export Development Foundation (CINEX)and occupies other board memberships in different sectors including, banking, captive insurance and pharmaceutical industries. He was an active athlete in the past and huge sport fan. As part of the foundation he is happy to be able to have some student-athlete fulfill their dreams and maybe become another star that Curaçao will be proud off.

Staff

Jerome Gomez

Consultant

Jerome Gomez joined the Curaçao Athletic Scholarship Foundation since inception and is the technical and social media consultant. Besides working on all the technical duties he also advises on the strategic aspect of the organization. He graduated from the Point Park University in 1996 with a master degree in business administration. While a student at the University, he was a member of the football (not American football) team for two years.
